“Putting Evidence Back Into
Running Injury and Performance”

Chris Kitson Osteopath: Screening To Predict Running Injury

by | Mar 3, 2019 | Podcasts for Therapists

To what extent can we effectively ‘screen’ runners to identify movement patterns linked with a higher risk of injury? Despite the popularity of such screening even in high end professional sport, the evidence really isn’t that clear…

In this episode of Runchatlive, we chat to Chris Kitson, Osteopath and joint founder of The Movement Hub, a personal training & manual therapy centre in the North of England. As a competitive triathlete, Chris has worked with numerous GB level athletes and has an excellent understanding of the stresses that are involved in top level sport. As a keen advocator of evidence based treatment and promotor of modern day Osteopathy, Chris offers a valuable insight into how much faith should be placed in the prediction of injury via screening.

Apologies in advance for the low sound quality. These were down to technical issues at Chris’ end that we couldn’t fix in time for the live recording.
