Manuela Besomi: Síndrome de la Banda Iliotibial (Español)

by | Sep 7, 2020 | Runchatlive Podcasts Injuries

IN ENGLISH…

In this episode of Runchatlive (for the first time in Spanish!) we have the pleasure of speaking with physical therapist Manuela Besomi, who has been working on ITBS as part of her PhD in Australia.

Iliotibial band syndrome (ITBS) is a very common injury in runners. It is the second leading cause of knee pain and the most common cause of lateral knee pain. To facilitate evidence-based management of ITBS, one needs to learn about the etiology, diagnosis, and treatment of this injury. This is often not as simple as it sounds because studies often contradict each other.

The episode was once again streamed & recorded LIVE to not only our Facebook page but ALSO at ‘The Running Community‘ Facebook page with its over 12k happy followers. Great way to get quality information out to runners!

Interested in starting YOUR OWN Podcast?

Here’s two things we wish someone had told us when we started:

  • WHICH PODCAST HOST?
Choosing a suitable host company to upload, store & distribute your podcast material will always depend on your individual circumstances & needs. That said, if you’re looking for a company to help your podcast grow, we recommend Podbean. Set up is super easy, as is transferring from a different host. Click HERE for details.
  • WHICH RECORDING SOFTWARE?
After trying many ways to do both solo recordings and with guests, we wholeheartedly recommend you try Be.Live online software. It’s the best value, simple to use (for you AND your guest), and has some great tools to brand it as you want. Testing the software is FREE (no credit card recquired). Click HERE for full details.
