Runchatlive Ep.47 ‘Plantar Fasciitis Special’ with special guest Hamish Vickerman
Runchatlive Ep.47 brings you a ‘Plantar Fasciitis Special’ with guest Hamish Vickerman, creator of ‘The Fasciitis Fighter.’ It’s an eye opener of an episode which we are sure you will enjoy, whether you are a therapist or a runner!
The episode was once again streamed & recorded LIVE to not only our Facebook page but ALSO at ‘The Running Community‘ Facebook page with its over 12k happy followers. Great way to get quality information out to runners!
Hamish Vickerman created The Fasciitis Fighter in reaction to research published by Michael Rathleff in 2014: ‘High-load strength training improves outcome in patients with plantar fasciitis’.
In this episode, we discuss how the Rathleff paper revolutionised the way Plantar Fasciitis (PF) should be treated, and in doing so we cast a critical eye on many of the traditional ways that runners & non runners deal with PF, often following advice handed out by therapists & GPs who are clearly not up to date with the evidence.
If you cannot find our audio podcast on your favourite player (Overcast, Pocketcast, Stitcher, etc.) do please let us know and we’ll make sure it is added!

After trying many ways to do both solo recordings and with guests, we wholeheartedly recommend you try Be.Live online software. It’s the best value, simple to use (for you AND your guest), and has some great tools to brand it as you want. Testing the software is FREE (no credit card recquired). Click HERE for full details.
