Outer Hip Pain (GTPS)

Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome (GTPS) is a condition in which the head of the thigh bone (femur) becomes sensitive to pressure. To find it your GT, put your hands on your waist and then move them a fraction down – that’s your pelvis you’re now feeling. Keep moving downwards and eventually you will feel the top of your thigh bone sticking out.
