Day22 – We got there! A huge thanks to everybody who has donated and joined me for the ride! Had to get the little man to nursery today so a final appearance from him with Jasper & Conrad (the horses). Many thanks Adam Meakins for originally nominating me!
Day21 – Back in Brighton today, glorious sunshine on the beach with the old derelict West Pier standing defiantly in the background. A fitting backdrop for this penultimate day of my 22 push up challenge.
Day20 – Special guest appearance by mixed martial arts legend Rosi ‘The Surgeon’ Sexton, the first British woman to compete in the UFC and a highly respected osteopath. Massive thanks to Rosi for joining me in today’s challenge!
Day19 – Welcome to the toddlers playground at Ansty Premier Inn – a fine place to spend such a sunny Sunday morning… (the little man ran off and left me to it).
Day18 – Live from my running therapist workshop today at Mike Grice’s Movement Therapy Clinic in Birmingham. Many thanks to all participants!
Day17 – Travelled up to Birmingham for a couple of workshops this weekend so have plenty of help for today’s pushups! Thanks for reading below & thanks even more for any donations!
Day16 – Sun’s out again! And what better way of celebrating it than getting a bunch of nice folk to do 22 pushups in the middle of a road! Many thanks to the guys & gals from YWAM London Radiant, and a few others who just decided to join in!
Day 15 – Bit of a weak one today I’m afraid. Little man was up all night and had to be taken to hospital to check for elbow dislocation – the joys of parenthood. Anyway, he’s fine now and here’s some poor form push ups on a stability ball and Bosu board.
Day 14 – The familiar drizzle of a morning on Hove seafront, how we have missed you! Day14 introduces two beach huts & a guy playing the guitar. Was windy so sound is poor. Sorry about that! Today’s nomination is for ‘best legs in the west’ physio Liz Bayley
Day 13 – Little man had to be at nursery in 5 mins so nothing fancy today. It’s day 13 too so probably best not to take on anything too far away from the ground or on a moving belt…
Day12 – In the gait lab today (yep, I work Sundays, some people are simply born as givers) so just me for the challenge today. All I can say is, don’t have the treadmill going too fast (the video shown was my third attempt…)
Day11 – 40mins til parkrun means time for some fun in the playground. On ropes. Tougher than I thought! Today’s nomination is for the marvellous Run England Sussex Coordinator Marion Hemsworth.
Day10 – At work this morning, but the little lad insisted on coming in to help with the challenge, in his own unique way…
Day9 – September 1st and the sun is still shining so thought we’d take it onto the garden today. Nothing fancy, giving the lads a well earned rest after yesterday.
Day8 – quadrupedal elevation today with Jasper & Conrad doing a fine job holding my size 14’s up. Started doing nominations too.
Day 7 and that weird space age pole with a descending saucer on it is the British Airways i360. Been up it once, view is awesome but still isn’t enough to find a parking space in Brighton’s town centre…
Day 6 and I’m back in Hove Park at 7.30am for the morning run. But first, driven by the ever increasing urge to perform my push ups somewhere a little different, I noticed the climbing wall…
Day 5 and after the impromptu push up ‘flash mob’ at Hove Park Cafe yesterday, I decided to restore postural harmony and cleanse my aura by swapping the position of the horses from Day 3.
